Out of Hours

The GP cooperative, Harmoni, provides emergency cover for our patients when their own doctors are off duty, that is, on Saturdays and Sundays and from 1830 to 0800 on weekdays. Call 0845 605 6000 - this will give you access to health information, advice by fully trained staff nurses, or a doctor if you need urgent advice. Alternatively you may call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for health advice and information.

For urgent medical matters you may be asked to visit the Harmoni duty doctor at the fully equipped out of hours examination centre at the Fracture Clinic (next to A & E), Watford General Hospital, Vicarage Road, Watford. If you are unable to visit the out of hours centre, and your condition cannot wait until you can visit the surgery on the next working day, the person dealing with your enquiry will discuss the best course of action and whether a home visit is appropriate.
