From 1st February 2025, we are introducing Blended Triage to improve how patients access urgent appointments.
This new system ensures that appointments are allocated based on clinical need, reducing waiting times and improving access to the right healthcare professional.
How Will This Affect You?
- Urgent appointment requests will be assessed by a GP before being booked.
- Routine appointments with GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, and pharmacists can still be booked directly through reception.
How Does It Work?
- Patients requesting an urgent appointment or medical advice must complete
an Online Consult Form via our website. - If you call or visit the practice, our reception team will assist you in completing the form.
- A clinician will review your request and determine the most appropriate next step.
What Happens Next?
After reviewing your form, we may:
✔ Book you an appointment and send confirmation via text or phone call.
✔ Request more information or photographs to better assess your needs.
✔ Send you a self-booking link to schedule an appointment in the coming days.
✔ Provide advice or signpost you to another suitable service.
Why Are We Making This Change?
We recognise the increasing demand for appointments and understand how frustrating it can be to wait on the phone or in the practice. Blended Triage helps ensure patients get the care they need more efficiently, while reducing delays and unnecessary appointments.
