For Minor Injuries and Urgent Health Concerns (non-life threatening)
- Our local healthcare provider, Herts Urgent Care (HUC), will provide assistance to any patients who have an urgent medical problem while the practice is closed. Please call NHS 111.
- For minor medical conditions, patients may contact their local community pharmacy (NHS Pharmacy First).
- Attend an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) such as
Hemel Hempstead Hospital UTC
Watford General Hospital UTC
NHS 111 may make an appointment for you to attend your preferred UTC.
Alternatively, you can also go to an UTC without an appointment and wait to be seen. - Attend the Minor Injury Unit at Mount Vernon Hospital
For Serious Health Concerns or for Medical Emergencies that threaten your life and limb
Please attend Accident and Emergency (A&E).
Hospitals usually have a separate A&E area for children, sometimes called a Paediatric Emergency department.
